Accommodation in Antarctica

Main Camp

Participants will stay in spacious, heated communal modules at the camp, complete with bulk beds and bedding. Meals and beverages are served in a separate, roomy dining tent.

Throughout the race, aid stations along the course will offer water, electrolyte drinks, and snacks to all competitors.

Upgraded Accommodation

In addition to the main camp, a limited number of upgraded spots are available at Oasis Camp, located about 12 km away. Participants can choose to upgrade to a private room. Oasis Camp has its own kitchen and dining area. All other activities and logistics remain the same as for those staying at the main camp.

Power and Charging

Power supply and charging facilities are available for personal electronics. Outlets follow the South African standard, so participants should bring appropriate adaptors.

Communications and internet

There is no cellular service in the area. However, Starlink internet has been installed and will be accessible to runners during designated hours each day.

Dining

At the main camp, a full kitchen and separate dining tent serve as a central gathering place for meals, activities, and meetings. Competitors will enjoy hearty, freshly prepared meals, with self-serve snacks and beverages always available. Fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and drinks are flown in regularly from Cape Town.

For those staying at Oasis Camp, meals are served from its private kitchen and complemented by a selection of fine South African wines, teas, freshly ground coffees, and a fully stocked bar.
